Midwife, Shopping, Photo Shoot

Sorry it’s been so long since my last update. I had a real struggle with walking last week due to hip pain, I went to the doctor and was given co-codamol and told to refer to the physio… didn’t bother with the physio, instead I went to the Chiropractor round the corner and have been walking fine since, I get the pain if I am stood up or sat down for too long so I am just keeping an eye on that.

Had my 34 week Midwife appointment since my last update as well. I was a bit nervous about it as my normal Midwife has moved so I have a new one that I didn’t like the first time I met her. This time round though she was fine. Listened to the heartbeat and measurements were taken. Nothing to worry about everything is as expected. Fidget is kicking more powerfully now there is less room in my tummy. Tried to play the torch game to see if Fidget followed or kicked the light but it didn’t seem to impressed.

On Saturday we had a photo shoot! Was really nice and relaxed and we got pictures of Me, Nick and Bump. We are not going to see them until the new year as we are having a second photo shoot with Me, Nick and Fidget. Then the lady will make a collage for us similar to the one we already have but with our new little family.

We then went off to DFS and ordered our new sofa

It will take 5-6 Weeks to make and deliver so just about the same time as Fidget is due. I am looking forward to it though, I have ordered some samples for blinds, now we know the colour the living room is going to be.

I had Monday and Tuesday off this week so spent Monday cleaning the house, making beef stew and made a start on wrapping Christmas gifts. On Tuesday Elaine took me to Cribs Causeway. Oh my it was a maze, I was so glad I was not driving! We had a lovely time walking around looking at baby stuff, we ended up with a changing mat, cot, mattress, some yellow sheets and blanket and some matching yellow hooded towels ? they are really lovely.

I have been looking into reusable nappies so going to invest in a few of them to see how we get on with them and have disposable ones as backups.
